Listed below are a few things I would like for you to keep in mind before inquiring about your very own small scale custom.
  • If you do not supply me with the model to build (restorations, rebuilds, ect.) the price of the kit will be included in the final sale.
  • Each job is custom orderd and custom built according to what you and I decide. This means that each job contract will also be custom.
  • Each job is priced depending on the amount of detail that will go into the model, the time, the materials, and the work it will take to complete.
  • It is not uncommon that some of my builds go for anywhere from $150 and up.
  • Model car manufacturers have a limited selection of kits that they produce. They stick to the most wanted cars because that is what sells. For example, If you would like me to build a 1964 Impala, there would be no problem since there are many dfferent Impala model kits. However, if you would like a 1990 Toyota camry, I might have to turn you down, simply because a small scale model of that car may not exist.
  • I have the ability to complete most any job in my workshop. Although depending on the detail you would like, some parts may have to be orderd from a detail parts manufacturer. The cost of such parts will be added to the final sale.
  • Most of the models I build feature full interior, engine, and underbody detail. The price of your model will be substantially lower by eliminating these details.
  • Unlike pre-made diecasts, Model car kits usually do not have opening doors or trunks. If you choose to have these features the price will increase, since I will have to modify and fabricate the kit to have these working parts.
  • Most any custom order will need to be built from more than one model kit. We call this "kit-bashing" in the model car hobby. For example, say you wanted a Hemi in a Dodge dart. The dart kit may only have a 383. I would then have to buy a different model that has a Hemi in it, and take that Hemi for use in your Dart.
Ok, so now that you've read through that, heres how it works.

Hopefully, you absolutely have to have one of my custom built model cars. If this is the case, please Email me with the following details and we will discuss your project.
  • The make, model, and year of the vehicle you want.
  • The specifications of the vehicle (ex. engine, transmission, rearend, ect. or let me know if that doesn't matter)
  • Any pictures, illustrations, or ideas you would like to incorporate.

I will provide you with updates on your project via email. These updates will show you what I am doing almost step by step. I can also make a scrapbook of the project with photos and captions that will show the fabrication and modification of your model. The scrapbook will cost extra, however the email undates will not.

After we finalize the details of your model, I will mail you two typed lists of what we have agreed on. I will sign both copies, and ask that you also sign a copy and mail it back to me.

My payment plan is flexible, although until I recive the amount we agreed to in the contract, you will not recive your model. I ask that all payments be mailed to me in the form of a check or a money order. Again, the final product will not be shipped to you until the check clears. Please do not take this personal, this is simply business.

I also ask for an inital deposit to pay for the model kit(s) that I will need to start your project. This fee will vary depending on the job. I may also need to order detail parts before I start the build. This would be added to that fee.
